Legacy giving

Steve strongly believed education is the best route to fulfillment and prosperity in life. This dedicated teacher and mentor to numerous Contra Costa Community College Business students left a legacy gift to ensure struggling students can achieve their educational goals. His students were exactly those who typified the gap between the haves and have-nots. He stepped in to fill this gap with his generous legacy gift to Kennedy-King. 

His legacy created the Schaefer Scholarship Fund for Contra Costa County community college students receiving a Kennedy-King scholarship in pursuit of a college/university business degree and will have a lasting impact on many lives.

All donations to Kennedy-King.org are 100% tax-deductible and 89% of every dollar received is used to provide aid for student as our board is all-volunteer with no paid staff.  All contributions small and large help provide needed scholarships and support to our worthy scholars.
